American Pickers star Mike Wolfe’s new renovation project draws nearer to completion after being under construction for months. Mike gave fans insight on social media into how far the *Theo Station* project has come because of his direction.
The History Channel star, 59, uploaded several snaps from the reconstructed site in Tennessee on his Instagram stories. Mike kicked off the timeline with a photo of the revamped former gas station, shining with lights. “Let there be light—finishing touches on the Theo Station renovation,” the reality personality captioned the story.
The following snaps in his stories slideshow captured different angles of the almost completed station. Mike disclosed that he was excited that the new project was wrapping up and added that the station now had some curb appeal.
Mike has been keeping fans up to date with the progress of the project since it began last month. He released a few snaps on Instagram of the progress his hired construction team made with the current project. Included in the carousel post were shots of the cedar pergola that was put up and the new pavement installed.
Mike revealed the remaining work that hasn’t been started yet on the 1940s ESO station courtyard in downtown Columbia. “Solid cedar pergola is up, a few finishing touches, and it will be complete,” Mike captioned his post. “This is one more piece to the puzzle for the 1940s ESO Station Courtyard Downtown at Visit Columbia #Columbia #LivingEXO #MoneyDesign.”
Fans commended Mike for all of his hard work in the comment section. “Drove by yesterday to peek, looking great! Love the pergola and looking forward to hanging out at that fire pit,” one shared. Another added, “Shaping up nice, can’t wait to see the finished product.”
In early October, Mike revealed that he was in the midst of updating the vintage gas station. Mike took to Instagram to share a new update with fans on the project, posting snaps and a video last month. The first two photos showed construction workers hard at work attempting to install trees that had arrived at the location. Mike also shared a video showing various workers focusing on one tree, placing rocks and dirt under it to keep it steady.
“The trees have finally arrived for the 1940s ESO station downtown at Visit Columbia, TI,” the star wrote in the caption. “This project is about preserving transportation history along with building a cool community gathering space. This will be a courtyard for generations to enjoy in the historic district.”
Mike concluded by thanking *Living EXO* and *Landscape Company Money Design* for all their hard work.
Mike shared his new project a few weeks ago, posting photos of the gas station that showed a gated fence surrounding the construction area and the unpaved ground. The project is located near the full-service gas station *Columbia Motor Alley*, which is owned by Mike.
At the time, Mike wrote on the post, “1940s ESO station project downtown is in full swing. This will be a courtyard and green space right in the heart of the historic district, around the corner from Columbia Motor Alley. These early gas stations, service garages, and car dealerships anchor the story of American transportation history.”
“Project is looking good!” one fan wrote in the comments section, while another shared, “Excited to see the finished work.”
Mike has become more involved in side projects, including restoring a house and attempting to get more visitors to his Antique Archaeology store, all while *American Pickers* continues to suffer from low ratings.
According to people close to Mike, the star has also been open about the future of the longtime program, acknowledging that the finish line might be near.
In September, Mike’s friend exclusively told *The U.S. Sun*, “I don’t know how long the show will last. I don’t know how long Mike and Robbie want to do this. I think they would like to retire at some point. It’s been 12 years.”
