About the show:
Michigan brothers Rick and Marty Lagina star in “The Curse of Oak Island.” The duo, while investigating a mystery on TV, are still connected to their home state, with Marty Lagina named as the founder and owner of Mari Vineyards, a Traverse City winery specializing in “experimental Italian grapes alongside traditionally grown appellation varieties,” says the website.
Marty has also brought his son Alex Lagina into the dig, working alongside Craig Tester, Dan Blankenship, and Gary Drayton to continue the now 11-season case that is “The Curse of Oak Island.” The location itself is home to a longstanding treasure hunt with links to a range of historical communities, many of which left various artifacts and evidence behind. History’s Oak Island team hopes to unravel the series of archaeological clues dating back centuries, many of this year’s projects focusing on core drilling, the Knights Templar connection, and a 1700s underground structure that may allow them access to an ancient tunnel and shaft system.
