Fans of the television show *American Pickers* are reporting that a scenario in which Mike Wolfe discovers a hidden and rare automobile valued at $75,000 has been staged, alongside his brother Robbie, John “Jersey” John Chalet, and Danielle. Mike, who is 60 years old, is a celebrity on the television show *American Pickers*.

There’s a film from a recent episode of *American Pickers* that was uploaded to the Facebook page of the show. In the video, Mike and Jersey John are seen inspecting a mystical Shelby hidden in a barn. Mike made a phone call to an expert who examined photographs of the unique automobile, which the celebrity pointed out was missing several components. Mike inquired about the expense of restoring it, and the expert responded by saying that it would be well over $100,000.

In response to the expert’s recommendation that a price of $75,000 was reasonable, the buyers decided not to sell the car to Mike. The person selling the vehicle stated, “It may sound crazy to turn down an offer for a $75,000 car that has been sitting there for 35 or 40 years, but it is a significant decision to make.”

“The phrase ‘this guy is a total idiot’ is something that I can understand people saying,” the seller added. Fans took to the comment area to voice their disapproval and approval of the scene, claiming that it was staged. One viewer made the observation, “Not at all staged.” A second individual stated, “It is necessary to put on shows of this nature on television that are entertaining to watch. In order for sellers to appear on television, they are required to grant their consent. Contracts are signed, camera angles are plotted, sellers who are not experienced with filming are practicing, and so on. It is a good program, so who cares about it? Everything is staged,” wrote a third person.

According to a fourth individual, “I believe that a lot of this stuff is planted ahead of time.”

The *United States Sun* attempted to get a statement from a representative of *American Pickers*, but they did not respond.

### New Season Picks
September 9 marked the beginning of the 26th season of *American Pickers*. According to the *United States Sun*, the show’s initial episode had low ratings among viewers. During the first episode, which lasted for one hour, Mike went through various pieces of Evel Knievel memorabilia, including a one-of-a-kind billboard in which he displayed his snake canyon jump. However, the program did not succeed in attracting a large number of viewers, as the *United States Sun* stated that only 565,000 fans tuned in. This was a significant decrease from season 25, which began with a launch of a total of 730,000 viewers.

While the second installment of the premiere, titled “Hidden Cash Stash,” saw a decrease in viewership to 676,000, a total of 880,000 viewers tuned in to watch the third episode, and those figures remained relatively stable for the remainder of the month. Following that, the number of viewers reached a staggering 948,000 by the time the show aired on January 24. Throughout most of February, the numbers continued to decline, with the lowest rating being on February 14 with 774,000 viewers and the greatest rating occurring on February 28 with 966,000 viewers. There were 832,000 people who watched the final episode, which aired on March 27.

### Frank’s Last Bow
On Monday, September 30, two years after suffering a stroke, longstanding star Frank passed away at the age of 60. Fans of *American Pickers* are aware of this news due to the fact that he was recovering from back surgery. He left the show in March of 2020, which was his final episode. Over the course of his vacation, Frank was able to shed 65 lbs and take steps toward leading a healthy lifestyle, including abstaining from alcohol.

Mike said that Frank was officially terminated from his position in 2021, despite the fact that he had expressed his desire to return to the series following his absence. At the time, Mike expressed his sentiments by saying, “I will miss Frank just like all of you, and I pray for the very best and all good things for him on the next part of his journey.”

In an interview with the *United States Sun* in 2021, Frank said, “I haven’t talked to Mike in 2 years.” This event occurred after the two individuals had a disagreement. “Despite the fact that he was aware that my back was infected, he did not call me to inquire about how I was doing, but that is the way things are. I have a feeling that Mike is trying to persuade his brother Robbie to take my place in the position. I am really perplexed as to why he is acting in such a manner toward me.”

Following Frank’s stroke in July of 2022, the two were able to make amends with one another. Around the time when Frank passed away, Mike and a number of other loved ones were present by his side.

### Reminiscence of Frank
Following Frank’s passing, *American Pickers* made the following statement on social media:

“We are saddened to share that our friend and beloved member of the History Channel and *American Pickers* family, Frank Fritz, has passed away on September 30, 2024. Over a decade was spent by Frank filming the show *American Pickers*. Not only will we never forget the bearded charmer, but we will also never forget his never-ending search for vintage motorcycles and bikes. We are keeping Frank’s family and friends in our thoughts and prayers during this trying time. His presence will be sorely missed.”
