American Pickers star Mike Wolfe shares huge update amid antiques store drama

Mike Wolfe is back in action and has been busy restoring an old house after he was forced to close one of his antique shops.

The American Pickers star had to temporarily shut down the Nashville location of his shop, but he took to Instagram on Monday to tease his 567,000 fans with a peek at a fresh endeavor. Mike’s been putting his restoration talents to good use by transforming an early 1900s home.

He treated his followers to a snapshot of the progress, showing off a freshly built porch extension. The snap showed off polished wooden floors, a classic chimney breast with its own fireplace, and expansive windows that served up breathtaking views of the natural scenery.

The TV star added, “Adding this porch has been and will be a gathering place for generations to come. #tennesseelife.” Mike’s renovation work drew plenty of admirers in the comments section.

One fan wrote, “Just looking at that pic made me feel relaxed,” while another complimented, “So beautiful and peaceful.” A third fan added, “That is beautiful!” and another agreed, “What a great addition, beautiful.”

Mike recently surprised his followers when he abruptly shut down his Nashville antiques shop on November 26. Luckily, the store, situated in the historic Marathon Village, was not closed for long.

The store revealed why it had to temporarily close its doors, stating on social media, “We apologize for the inconvenience! The Nashville store is closed due to a gas leak in the building from construction in the area.”
