American Pickers star Danielle Colby warns fans that her social media page could “disappear” after Donald Trump’s inauguration.
On Monday, Jan. 20, Trump was sworn in as the 47th President of the United States after beating out former Vice President Kamala Harris in the November election.
Within hours of entering Oval Office, the 78-year-old politician signed close to 200 executive orders – many undoing his predecessor Joe Biden’s administration. Some of these executive orders include pardoning January 6 insurrectionists, aggressive action against illegal immigration, and exiting the Paris climate agreement.
Like many other celebrities, Danielle seemingly took to social media showcasing her disapproval over recent events. And while she didn’t outright drop Trump’s name in her post, the History Channel star shared a lengthy video where she shared various resources and encouraged her followers to “band together” just after he entered the White House.
In her post, Danielle said: “Hey everybody, Danielle Colby from American Pickers here. Just wanted to say a few words of encouragement. First of all, should this page disappear, which it could soon, so if this page should disappear, go to @daniellecolbywashere, I’ll also link up to that one too. Otherwise, you can follow my Patreon.”
She continued: “Don’t be down, don’t be discouraged, this is what all of our great punk rock artists, punk rock songs prepared us for. This is the time, this is the day, this is the place, it is now. It is today, so, you know, this is an interesting opportunity for us to create some of the most outrageous art that we most possibly can. This is a time for us to make statements, this is a time for us to band together, this is a time for us to check on our friends and family who need it the most.”
The 49-year-old went on to encourage her followers to protect their mental health and preached the importance of setting boundaries with “toxic” people. She then shared a number of resources for her fans including a book on U.S. history, novels written by Palestinian authors, and tips on women’s self-defense.
