'American Pickers' Mike Wolfe Says Goodbye to Nashville, Hello to Hollywood

On an Instagram post dated April 18th, 2025, Wolfe announced that the Antique Archeology store in Nashville will be officially closed on April 27th, which had opened around the time American Pickers premiered. The antiques shop has been the center of controversy recently, with customers blasting the store for “overpriced items” and “low inventory,” but publicly, at least, Wolfe is attributing the closing of the Nashville location to wanting to spend more time with his family back in LeClaire, Iowa, where the original store is located.

But if you’re going to open a new door in life, you might as well make it a big one, and it doesn’t get much bigger than one that leads to Hollywood. In March, Wolfe announced that he was appearing in the neo-Western Day of Reckoning with Titanic alum Billy Zane. But since the film has already been released, it doesn’t really factor into Wolfe’s plans during the show’s hiatus.

Only it does, given it’s where he met new love Leticia Cline, with the hiatus a perfect opportunity to foster their relationship without Wolfe traveling across the nation for the show. It is also apparently a perfect opportunity to star in a new show for the History Channel: History’s Greatest Picks with Mike Wolfe. Thankfully, the new show doesn’t require Wolfe to travel, and instead allows Wolfe to tell stories behind some of the finds he’s made over the years.
