American Pickers' Mike Wolfe fails to open Iowa vacation rental four years after buying
The American Pickers star previously claimed it would be available to rent in fall 2024, but has so far not opened its doors to guests.
American Pickers host Mike Wolfeonce promised his Iowa rental property would be open for business in fall 2024, but so far the doors have remained firmly closed.
The 60-year-old TV star has been renovating the property in Le Claire, Iowa since he bought it in December 2021 but the work has appeared to take longer than he first anticipated. The property was bought for $300,000 with the TV host and antiques expert planning to be able to rent it out by the end of 2024.
The property, which is located opposite his store Antique Archeology, was intended to become an AirBnB style property called Two Lanes Guesthouse yet the business is still yet to take off.
A source told The U.S. Sun, “Mike was still working on the guesthouse in October. He was bringing antiques, decor and furniture to and from the home. He was also speaking with workers regarding the exterior of the building.”
Whilst the business might not be ready yet, it’s still a work in progress with Wolfe filing a permit on September 26, 2024 to hang up an antique sign on the home that reads ‘Two Lanes Guesthouse’. No other permits have been submitted for the home, so it still remains unclear when it will eventually open up for business.
