American Pickers star Mike Wolfe seems to be doing his best to bring some excitement to the show in an attempt to build improve the show’s declining ratings
American Pickers’ ratings suffered another blow for the January first episode of Season 26 aired even after show star Mike Wolfe made a major purchase.
During last week’s Junkyard Jamboree episode, American Pickers star Mike Wolfe bought suits worth thousands from a legendary country singer. In the show, he went through country singer Hank Williams Jr.’s striking suit collection and other clothing items that iconic designer Nudie Cohn made. On the show, Mike bought a blue and white suit for $7,000 each, and other clothing pieces.
Many took to Mike’s comment section on Instagram to praise the January 1 airing.
One fan wrote, “Wow, what a find,” meanwhile a second shared, “So rad Mike,” as another wrote, “That collection was fascinating!”

Although the episode went over well with viewers it still didn’t boost viewership as only 595,000 fans tuned in, The U.S. Sun reported. The ratings have declined even more since the Dec. 11 episode; however, it’s slightly above the December 4 episode which came in at 584,000.
The Dec. 11 episode had 676,000 viewers, while the December four episode had 584,000 watch. American Pickers saw a surge in ratings for the November 27 episode which brought in 623,000, but weeks before the show never broke 600,000.
The November 20, 2024 episode earned 521,000 viewers, the November 13 episode had a viewership of 582,000 and the Nov. 6 episode had 547,000 watch. Also, American Pickers’ October shows struggled to have high ratings.
In the episode aired on Oct. 30, the ratings hit a massive love of the season, bringing in only 424,000. The week before that, 566,000 viewers tuned in, and on Oct. 16 463,000 viewers watched. The Season 26 premiere aired on Oct. 9 brought in 565,000. For most of Season 26, ratings have been drastically low compared to Season 25.
