‘American Pickers’ Star ‘Heartbroken’ After Abruptly Canceling Appearances: ‘My Family Needs Me Right Now’

In a video shared to her Instagram page on Monday, the “Queen of Rust” revealed she would not only be canceling her appearance at Dr. Lucky’s Blue Review–an adult variety show taking place in just a few days–but all future burlesque performances “for the foreseeable future.”
“Hi everybody,” she began in the solemn Dec. 9 clip. “I am heartbroken to let you know that I will not be able to join all of you in New Mexico for Dr. Lucky’s Blue Review,” noting that next weekend’s performance was canceled but that the event is still very much happening.
“Had some very serious health issues happening within my family; I really don’t want to get too much in detail,” she said, reassuring fans, “It’s not my health I’m speaking of” that forced her to abruptly cancel her shows the weekend of Dec. 20 and thereafter.
“I’m okay, I’m fine, but my family needs me right now,” Colby continued, “For the foreseeable future, I will not be traveling for performances. I will only be traveling for American Pickers and outside of that, being here with my family.”
“I just want to make it clear that I have canceled all upcoming performances–anything that I have to travel for–for the foreseeable future,” she reiterated. “Maybe at some point, things will balance out, hopefully, and I’ll be able to get on the road again for burlesque, but until then, I’m gonna miss you guys.”
“I love you, and I appreciate you, and get out there and celebrate, go see all the shows you can, but especially Dr. Lucky’s Blue Review [in] Las Cruces, New Mexico,” she added, closing out the clip with a few kisses blown towards the camera.
Season 26 of American Pickers premiered in October, with new episodes airing on the History Channel on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET before being made available to stream the next day via Discovery+. Season 27 was only confirmed last month and will, presumably, begin filming shortly.
